Wisconsin man dies in accident with semi-truck

A Wisconsin man was killed just after 9 PM last night in a tragic 18-wheeler accident on Wisconsin Highway 81.
Rock County Sheriff’s deputies reported that 32-year old Justin Condon of Brodhead crashed his mini-van into an 18-wheeler semi-truck on Highway 81 near South Avon Store Road. Condon was driving east on 81 when he crossed over the center line and into oncoming traffic. The driver of the semi-truck, 44-year old Jeffrey Smith of Rockford, said he tried to avoid Condon’s vehicle but was unable. Officials say Condon died upon impact.
Smith was taken to Beloit Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
