Two hurt in Monroe County accident

Two drivers were injured in a car accident outside Warrens over the weekend.
A 44 year-old driver is suspected of being intoxicated when she pulled out of a parking lot in front of another vehicle near Highway 12 and Highway EW. The other vehicle was unable to avoid hitting the woman.
The woman suffered life-threatening injuries and is currently in critical condition at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse. A passenger in her vehicle was not hurt. The driver of the other vehicle, 54, suffered minor injuries as was taken to Tomah Memorial.
Wisconsin State Patrol as well as the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department are still investigating the crash.
