An intoxicated driver traveling southbound on northbound Highway 41 in Appleton collided head-on with another vehicle, injuring himself and two other people. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the driver was going the wrong-way  near County Trunk BB Wednesday night when the accident occurred.

The driver and passenger of the car that was hit were taken to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. The passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and was later flown to Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee.

The wrong-way driver fled the scene but was found a short-time later at a gas station. He has been charged with drunk driving, driving without a license causing great bodily harm, and hit-and-run causing great bodily harm.
