According to officials, the man was driving down the roadway when he lost control of the truck for unknown reasons and ran off of the side of the road.

The truck then flipped over and rolled until it hit a ditch and came to a stopping point. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency officials. Details of the accident are still being investigated by police officials.

The other vehicle, which also had two occupants, crashed into the first. Police say that the driver of the vehicle crossing State 29 could receive a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way. Wisconsin State Patrol officials believe the accident happened when 40-year old James P. Farrell of Two Rivers was traveling westbound through the intersection and collided with 37-year old Michael A. Wittman’s Chevrolet Suburban traveling southbound.  Then, Wittman’s vehicle crashed into a Ford F-150 driven by 39-year old Pamela J. Gehl of Hilbert.

A passenger in Wittman’s suburban, 31-year old Todd Kuchenbecker of Brillion, is listed in serious condition at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.  Wittman and Gehl suffered from minor injuries and Farrell was not hurt in the accident.

Rock County Sheriff’s deputies reported that 32-year old Justin Condon of Brodhead crashed his mini-van into an 18-wheeler semi-truck on Highway 81 near South Avon Store Road.  Condon was driving east on 81 when he crossed over the center line and into oncoming traffic.  The driver of the semi-truck, 44-year old Jeffrey Smith of Rockford, said he tried to avoid Condon’s vehicle but was unable.  Officials say Condon died upon impact.

Smith was taken to Beloit Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.

The 86-year-old and 83-year-old were driving down Shawano County Q and stopped at a stop sign. As Herbert Dargel, the driver, pulled away from the sign, they crashed into a pickup truck on Wisconsin 29, reports the Green Bay Press Gazette.

Both the Dargels remain in the hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the pickup has been identified as 52-year-old Bambi VandenHeuvel. She sustained minor injuries.

The Model A contained no seat belts.

The other vehicle’s driver was a 16-year-old student at Holmen High. He has since been identified as Brandon Jennings. Jennings was ejected from his vehicle during the crash. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. The deputy, Stratman, was also brought to the hospital where she was treated for injuries and then released.

Investigators are still looking into exactly what happened in this tragic car accident.

He was struck by a truck traveling southbound around midnight, reports the Post-Crescent. Authorities say the man was dead at the scene. Police are not identifying the victim until the family has been notified.

According to The Appleton Post-Crescent, “the southbound lanes from 9th Avenue to State 21 were closed for more than four hours.” Investigators were attempting to recreate horrific scene of this tragic pedestrian accident. One of the lanes was opened at 4 a.m. Both lanes were opened by 5:30 a.m., according to the Crescent.

Police say a 38-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle around 6:30 this morning. WFRV reports, the vehicle, which was heading northbound, “then hydroplaned, crossed the median, and struck a vehicle traveling in the southbound lanes.” The other driver was a 22-year-old male.

Both drivers were taken to nearby hospitals. Their injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

WFRV reports that, “The female driver was cited for driving too fast for conditions.”

Dreschel’s family remains mystified as to why he would be going so fast. Police confirm that they were not chasing him. The Pierce County Herald writes that, “A 12-year-old girl and two 16-year-old girls in the car were all treated at a hospital and later released.”
