Pulaski motorcyclist killed in accident

Pulaski Police Chief Randal Dunford reports that a man is dead following a motorcycle accident just outside of Pulaski on Tuesday night.

The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. at Highway 32 and County Road B. A minivan traveling south on the highway was making a left turn when it was struck by a motorcycle heading in the opposite direction.

The motorcycle driver and his passenger were both thrown from the bike. The driver died instantly, while the passenger suffered severe head trauma and was transported to St. Vincent Hospital. Neither were wearing helmets.

Police arrested the driver of the van at the hospital but released him soon thereafter. As of now, police do not intend to file any charges nor do they believe alcohol to have been a factor in the crash.
