Wisconsin Traffic Accident Deaths Declined in February

Last month proved to be safe for Wisconsin drivers, as there were less deaths caused by car accidents in February of 2011 than any other February dating back to 1937, when traffic records started being kept.

Wisconsin saw twenty-two deaths caused by car accidents last month, as compared to thirty-three deaths that occured in February 2010. However, January 2011 was one of the worst for Wisconsin in the amount of deaths in car crashes, so the state’s traffic accident death toll is still higher than this time in 2010. As of March, sixty-one deaths have occured in 2011 due to traffic accidents.
