University of Minnesota student hit by car, injured

A woman was hit by a car on the University of Minnesota campus on Friday of last week. This is the third pedestrian accident that has occurred on this campus in the last week.

The accident happened in the evening as the woman was attempting to cross an intersection. A man driving a car was making a right turn, when he struck the woman. She suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. The driver was not cited for hitting the woman.

The other two accident that occurred last week involved the deaths of two pedestrians. One was hit by a dump truck and the other by a driver who fled the scene of the accident.
