Drunk driver in critical condition

A drunk driver is currently in critical condition at the hospital after he rear-ended a dump truck and was thrown from his vehicle. The 46 year-old man had just left a bar in Racine County before the accident occurred. The bar employees called SafeRide to take him home, but the man refused to get into the car and instead took off in his own SUV, nearly running over the employees trying to block his exit. He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The man now faces felony charges of DWI since this is his fifth DWI citation. His exact blood alcohol content is not yet available as test results are still pending.
