Drunk driver facing felony charges

A drunk driver is facing felony charges after he was arrested for his fourth DWI in less than five years. The 39-year-old Franklin man was apprehended Thursday night in Greendale.

According to the Greendale Patch, the man began driving recklessly in order to lose the police officer who was trying to pull him over. Once he stopped, the officer conducted field sobriety tests, which the driver failed. His blood alcohol content was measured at 0.16, two times over the legal limit.

Authorities took him to the Milwaukee County Jail on charges of driving with a suspended licenses, driving while intoxicated, and operating a vehicle with an illegal blood alcohol concentration. If convicted, he could spend six-and-a-half years in prison.
