Ford recalls SUVs due to cylinder head cup defect

Ford has recalled over 6,000 model year 2013 Ford Escapes due to a defect that may cause the engine to catch fire.

The recalled Escapes may have a defect in their cylinder head cups that might cause them to become detached, opening the vehicle up to a major risk of catching fire.

The 2013 Escape model has been plagued with various manufacturing problems. There were two recalls on Escapes in July. One was due to a manufacturing defect in the engine’s fuel line and the other was a result of the interior carpeting interfering with the brakes.

Even the safest driver is vulnerable to an accidents that can occur as a result of a manufacturing defect. If you have been hurt in an auto accident because of an automobile defect, contact the motor vehicle defect lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® at 800-242-2874.
