Appleton police looking for hit-and-run driver

Authorities at the Appleton Police Department informed the public of a hit-and-run near Lawrence University last week.

The department also released video footage of the incident to help identify the perpetrator of the crime.

The victim, a 19-year-old woman studying at the university, was reportedly run over at the crosswalk on College Avenue. She is now recovering in a nearby hospital.

The car of the driver who caused the hit-and-run was traced to a gas station by traffic cam video, and is believed to be either a Chevy Impala or Malibu.
