Manitowoc cyclist survives accident

On Saturday, January 18 Steven Gove, 56, of Manitowoc was hit by a car while delivering newspapers on his bike route.

Gove was hit at the intersection of Marshall and South 14th, he went through the drivers windshield but only sustained slight physical injuries.

Upon being hit, Gove was stuck in the drivers windshield at his upper torso. The driver continued traveling home, despite having hit Gove. After becoming aware of of what happened, the driver panicked and fled, he was later apprehended by police.

Gove was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries. Fortunately, he only sustained minor injuries.
