Families of GM victims attend Washington congressional hearings

On Tuesday, April 2 people gathered at the U.S. Capitol to attend GM’s congressional hearing over delayed recalls. GM’s recalled vehicles have been responsible for at least 13 fatalities. Among the majority of attendees were parents who had lost children due to the malfunctioning automobiles.

GM has recalled about 2.6 million cars with defective ignition switches, among the recalled models are Pontiac Solstices, Chevrolet Cobalts, Chevrolet HHRs, Saturn Ions, Saturn Skies, and Pontiac G5s. Prosecutors are alleging that GM knowingly delayed recalls which ended up killing and injuring many people.
